Historical Sites at the Smokey Mountains

The Smoke Mountains is home to a few historical sites.
History is a very big part of this park so this one was one not to miss.
In previous trips we had visited the famous Cade Cove but this time
we decided to wrap it up with the other historical site.
Here you have the 1880.s schoolhouse were the
kids used to be for four to six weeks a year.

This picture reminds me of that program on TV.
"If these walls could talk"
Well, there you have it.
Your kids can learn, sit and experience what it was like to be a kid in the 1880's.

Pretending to be in school.
or should I say................
Homeschooling in the Wild
