If you ever visited Florida, you would understand when I say,
"It's best to camp during the winter time"
Camping is not for everyone. Though for most, it's an enjoyable activity. But, when choosing which state of the Union to camp in, Florida, is at the bottom of my bucket list.I hate to be redundant, but yes, Florida is best, in the winter time.
Collier-Seminole State Park is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna. This park is nestled in trees retelling the history of past Seminole Indian Tribes that once inhabited the area.
Though small, walking trails are available in the park, a big long kayak trail is pleasantly doable and available.
Overall, our stay was pleasant, and with the exception of a few mosquitoes, our camping site included running water, electricity, a wooden table and a fire pit.
Doing justice to what the true meaning of camping is, we were able to park our car right across our tent.
It seemed at times ironic but, I will say, it felt like pitching a tent right outside our own backyard.
Regardless, we were all in for the experience and learning the history of this place.
And, for one who loves the outdoors this winter was the perfect moment to take on Florida camping.
Things We Got To Do Near The State Park
A few miles away from the park we were able to visit Clyde Butcher's black and white photography gallery.
