We have been consumed with our lesson on bison.
As we visited Yellow Stone National Park last year, the bison were the first animals we
encountered.
So, I have been meaning to put together our lesson on bison and
what better title than
"The Mighty..............."
Exactly. It seemed obvious.
Symbiosis. How animals help each other survive. As the birds offer pest control to the bison they get protection against predators. |
More Pictures of Our Day
The bull head happened without thinking about it.
Actually, we had already purchased two of these to decorate
my son's room.
He loves animals and when we saw these we had to
have them.
This unit will come with reader/comprehension questions
and
of course
a lap book that will be final project of your kiddos.

Our Interactive Notebook
One side of the nnotebook we have completed already
You may pair these last two activities together.
We have added an extra page to glue it as part of the interactive notebook.
Please note that this interactive notebook has no
table of contents.
It is meant to be that way as we use it more like a
nature journal but for animals.
Painting the mighty bison
in our interactive notebook.
Then adding some color to it
This is a great way to extent our lesson and
correlate it to art.
We also added a poem at the bottom of our
drawing.
