King Philip's War Unit

While learning through the textbook about American History
we came across a short chapter on Metacomet.
I have come up with an informational text compressed of two pages
in which all facts of this war are laid out for students.
As all my units I like to either include a lap book or interactive notebook
So
I have decided that a simple lap book will be great for this short unit.
The entire unit is about 20 pages long.

Students can self direct on this project because it is simple.
The lap book is completed in the picture below and you can see
that is consists of mini books and pockets.

A one file folder will be needed for this lap book.

Comprehension Questions Quick View

Some of the questions will have your students come up with a
diplomatic solution to avoid the war.

They will also position themselves on each side of the conflict.
Then,
write their thoughts about it.

Not only is this a great way to have students write but also get some
punctuation and new words to narrate their thoughts.

A Useful Tip:

We have use our Dictionary as companion for every writing activity.
