1st Grade Word Family

Family of -ONE

We went crafty and created a Watch for the -ONE word family
Wearing a Watch will always help your kids remember those sight words.
You may create these Watches with just one word your child is not grasping very well as a way of helping him remember.

A Close Look at Our Class on Word Families

A HANDS ON ACTIVITY TO GET YOUR KIDS PROFICIENT WITH SIGHT WORDS

In these booklet you will have your kids review the following words

PHONE
LONE
ALONE
OZONE
DONE
BONE
THRONE
CONE
PRONE
STONE
TONE

CUT OUT OF SIGHT WORDS FOR KIDS TO CUT AND GLUE
You get to have  your kids cut, paste and color the sight words into place.
Repeat them in print and cursive.
I encourage my son to try to do cursive writing early on as it helps him try to not lift the pencil.

IN THE BACK YOU WILL HAVE YOUR KIDS COLOR SOME MORE EACH SIGHT WORD.

They can get crafty and use glitter if they like.

ONCE FINISHED YOU MAY STAPLE IT AND MAKE IT A BOOKLET
Here is another activity I have my son do.
Cutting and again pasting those sight words into the Lady Bug.
Making learning fun is the key to a successful education.

These pages can be staple together as well creating a booklet for your kids to make.
