Running through our History Lesson we encounter the War of 1812.
What better way to organize all facts than a Lap Book
But the war of 1812 becomes very important for children
to remember.
As a matter of fact, it is kind of a forgotten war but in itself very important.
Most importantly, our National Anthem is born during this war and
the White House and The Capitol are burned.
Of course
later on rebuilt.
We started reading our chapter book and moved on to
reduce everything into mini books.
Then, glue them along the way and done.
If you download this from my TPT Shop you will have
the answers given to you and your students may glue it.
However, it is important for me to have my student write them
in his own handwriting.
The Title page highlights some of the facts of this war.
The ships represent the war at sea.
Then the three pictures of what I thought to be
significantly the most relevant figures in this war.
As a background I have added the British soldiers and
United States soldiers in battle.
To be exact, the Battle of New Orleans.
You will need a one file folder and a card stock insert.
Tape it along the top and you will be able to move it up and down.
Simple layout with given instructions your kids can complete independently
by reading the instructions.
